However the characteristics which differentiate them from each other are \u2013<\/p>\n<div class=\"alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mccoymart.com\/post\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/30-powder-coating1.jpg\" alt=\"30-powder-coating1\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Anodizing is an electrochemical process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the aluminium hence increasing the durability of the metal. The thicker the coating more is the life span of the Anodized Aluminium. Powder Coating is the process of applying a decorative and protective finish on the aluminium profile or any other metal through an electrostatically charged powder which is sprayed on the aluminium.<\/li>\n<li>Anodizing is done in different batches hence there are chances of colour variation on the substrate. In Powder coating the powder is constant hence there is never any colour variation on the substrate.<\/li>\n<li>Anodizing is more costly than Powder Coating.<\/li>\n<li>Anodizing can be done only on Aluminium surfaces while Powder Coating can be done on all surfaces which include wood, steel, aluminium etc. giving a very uniform look.<\/li>\n<li>Anodizing cannot be repaired while Powder Coated can be repaired, dented and recoated.<\/li>\n<li>Anodizing has a larger life span than Powder Coating. The Powder Coating is susceptible to wear and tear in external weather conditions.
