UAE-based Al Ghurair Construction has announced its partnership with the Swiss based producer of frameless glass sliding door and window systems, Sky-Frame. As a part of this deal, Sky-frame will be their exclusive supplier of their frameless glass solutions in the Middle East. Since the very start of its inception, Sky-Frame got noticed for its seamless solutions for upvc sliding windows and doors, winning them many accolades. In addition to its tag line of “A view, not a window”, the firm plans to work alongside universities and research institutes to help innovate new solutions in its technology. Integrating Sky-Frame as a core element in the structural design of its first UAE project, Muraba Residences on the Palm Jumeirah, Al Ghurair Construction has established the foundation for its partnership. For Al Ghurair, the fact that Sky Frames keeps in mind the compatibility of its products with the intense weather conditions in the Gulf, helps promote a culture of green buildings for them in their designs. One of its most popular technologies is a slim 20-mm profile which offers thermal and sound insulation protecting its residents from external heat while reducing cooling requirements of the buildings.
