Mizoram to set up 20MW Solar Park

Mizoram’s Solar Power Project Approval Committee (SPPAC) has approved a 20MW Solar Park’s proposal. Zoram Energy Development Agency (ZEDA) and the state power and electricity department will collaborate and head the project, an official statement states. It also said that the Secretary for Power and Electricity H Lalengmawia, chaired a meeting for the same while discussing issues related to the generation of power through solar energy. According to the Solar Power Policy of Mizoram, 2017, all the government buildings should harness energies using solar energy in their buildings. The statement also adds that the committee has decided to arrange a meeting with all of the heads of departments to make sure that the policy is implemented.
