JSW Cement won the first prize for “The National Energy Conservation Awards(Cement Sector)”. Anil Kumar Pillai,Director & CEO, JSW Cement received the award from the Minister of Power. The awards took place in the presence of dignitaries from various aspects of life.
On receiving the award Pillai said, “We are delighted to receive this acknowledgement of our efforts in energy conservation. Accolades for this reinforces our spirit in achieving and aiming for higher goals in conserving energy”
Organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, the award ceremony was held in the capital on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day. Minister of State (I/C) for Power, Coal, New and Renewable energy & mines, Shri Piyush Goyal presented the awards to all the winners. The award is presented annually by the ministry of power, Government of India.
