A veneer is an ancient construction material used in making furniture. Veneers are paper thin cut of wood obtained from logs or bark of a tree. The common technique used in obtaining veneers is peeling. In this method, a machine is used to hold the log in place and then rotate it whereby a cutter peels the logs in layers. In addition to this veneers are also obtained by the slice – cutting.
