Collaborative Eden projects with international partners across the globe and undertaking consultancy services for new and existing projects are some of th other services the project makers are looking to establish.

One of the partner countries is China where Eden Qingdao will be developed in a way so as to explore the theme of water and its importance for life on earth. The construction for this is expected to begin by the end of 2017. It will be connected with other Eden Projects across the world through some design elements so that it stands apart as an Eden Project on a macro level.

The second Eden Project in China would be located in Yan’an, a city witnessing a considerable part of China’s history including being the home of the terracotta warriors. The concept for the design here will explore the theme of land and soil and its importance for life on earth. Apart from this, ecological restoration will be projected as an important tool for future generations to understand and restore degraded sites located outside the city into a fertile valley full of flowers and agriculture. Like the first project, Eden Qingdao, it will have an ability to combine elements from other Eden Projects around the world.

The third project in the country would be located in Sheng Lu Vineyard, Beijing. Here, the aim is to design something which is able to reconnect us with the nature around us. Education and training programmes will also be featured here to help offer children and adults to engage in natural environment.

Sir Tim Smit, Co-Founder of the Eden Project said, “Eden’s mission is to explore our dependence on the natural world, to use that understanding to excite people into delivering transformation where they live and to ask really serious questions about what a great future might look like for all of us.
