  • Corian is an artificial material manufactured by combining acrylic resins with aluminium trihydrate. Granite is a natural igneous rock that is blasted out of quarries and then finished into polished or unpolished slabs or tiles.
  • Corian is a homogeneous and non-porous material while Granite is porous rock with mineral speckles in it.
  • Granite is scratch resistant and heat resistant. Corian is prone to scratches but the surface can be repaired easily to its original look. Corian is heat resistant to some extent but hot pots should not be kept on Corian tops as it is susceptible to damage.
  • Corian is available in numerous colours and textures while Granite is available in limited shades and options.
  • Corian is a thermoformable material which becomes flexible when heated hence it can be converted into any fluid shape while Granite is only available in the form of slabs and tiles.Several panels of Corian can also be joined seamlessly without letting any joints being visible.
